My name is Ashley Eyster and for my Senior Project I did Wildlife Refuges and how they are enhancing biodiversity by expanding wilderness areas, protecting habitats of plants and animals, reintroducing different plant and animal species and helping endangered plants and animals.
For my product I volunteered at a vet's office in Cary called Mayfair Animal Hospital and also volunteered at Noah's Landing wildlife Refuge. The reason I wanted to volunteer at these places is because they help animals in need and I've always loved helping out animals since I was little. During my experience in volunteering I learned many things like the proper way to clean a cage, how to give the animals the right amount of feed without over feeding, the different types of birds and how to care for them. While working with the animals I had fun even though it was a challenge.
